This chutney is good on almost everything and easy to make! Try it on lamb, falafel, roast vegetables or samosas.
- 1 c mint leaves
- 1 c cilantro leaves and tender stems
- 1 large clove garlic
- 1 jalapeño
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 t sugar
- 1/2 t cumin
- 1/4 t salt
- 2-4 T water
- 2 T oil
Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and add more water as needed for the desired consistency.
For those of you who don’t like spicy food, remove the seeds and ribs of the jalapeño before adding to the other ingredients.
For optimal flavor, make one day in advance and store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
